Nation's Pride in the Sky

My drawing was exhibited in abudhabiweek magazine - I live in the United Arab Emirates and participated in this contest.

I have painted the earth cupped carefully by two hands. The Yahsat Logo can be seen as a ring on the right hand’s finger. The background depicts the universe and in it you can see the first launched satellite, Y1A, from Abu Dhabi. On each of the fingernails, you can see the flags of important countries of the middle east, Africa and southwest Asia, like Yemen, Turkey, Qatar, Ghana, UAE, Bahrain, South Africa, etc.
This shows the unity and the international communications that YAHSAT, the Abu Dhabi-based satellite operator, has successfully provided. You can also see a view of the Middle East from space. As YAHSAT is the leading satellite communications operator, the flags on the fingernails show Global Telecommunications & cross-cultural communication. The whole region will be enhanced in business and all other activities by launching this innovative step. It is a feather in the cap of the UAE’s achievements. By launching Y1A, Abu Dhabi is on cloud 9 now! Thus, I have drawn some curvy clouds at the bottom of the universe.
